Tips on using Mercedes SD C4 Clone:
 

1. MB SD C4 Multiplexer Can Not Be Used on IBM T30 Laptop.

2. This tool can install in WIN 7 or XP, but need customer know how to SET IP in WIN7, for remote control install,we only do with XP system.
3. If you buy mb sd c4 with computer together in combination kit, we will set up and activate it for you before shipping, that you can use it directly after you get it.
4. Right now, HDD not support offline function, only support online scn coding function.
5. Mercedes SD C4 Diagnostic Tool software need to activate, please send hardware id, Lan-ID, HW-ID and App-ID and your order number to sales@CarOBD.de, we will send you start keys and license file

6. From software 2015.3 on, DAS icon will not shown on the desktop, DO NOT ADD this DAS icon by yourself when you use the software. Otherwise it will cause some error even destroy the software by doing this. We will charge fee if software is destroyed by this way.

7. If you need to use DAS to diagnose your car. Just enter Xentry. If your car need to be done by DAS, then software will switch to DAS interface automatically

8.  Battery: When you first time to use this Mercedes Benz Star C4 diagnostic tool, you need to use the 100% brand new battery on the main unit, not rechargable battery! After done, then no need battery for main unit anymore if you use this software all the time. Because this battery is for update. If you use newer software in the future, then when you first time use the newer software, you need to use new battery for update again.

9. Do not support USA DOIT system after year 2014
10. The External HDD do not support WiFi connection, only Dell D630 HDD support WiFi Connection
11.2016.5 Software HDD do not have HHT-WIN, and only the old cars before year 1999 need HHT-WIN, if you need this, you can choose the MB SD C4 software before V2015.12

Difference between MB Star C3 and MB SD Connect C4 : 
 

Mercedes C4 supports Wireless Diagnosis 

 

SD Connect supports not only KL diagnosis and three lines CAN BUS diagnosis, but also UDS diagnostic protocol. Because the board of Compact 3 doesn't contain UDS protocol chip, the hardware will be eliminated directly. 

 

C4 SD Connect can do wireless diagnosis. Besides, it uses LAN cable connection. So it can support more computer model.
